The 2008 Annual Summer Meeting will find us at True Blue Bay Resort & Villas in Grenada, West Indies. Aquanauts Dive Center, known for their first class service, will handle our diving. Grenada the undiscovered is the most spectacular of the Windward Islands with incredible natural beauty both in and out of the water. True Blue Bay Resort is the perfect place to have your Caribbean Adventure Vacation. Commanding an exquisite view of the South Coast of Grenada where the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet, this special hotel in the West Indies is set among tropical gardens sloping down to the sparkling blue waters of True Blue Bay. The friendliness of the owners and staff, and the romantic and secluded setting of this Caribbean hideaway allow you and your family to enjoy all the attractions of Grenada while preserving that special atmosphere only a small resort can achieve. Grenada is the ultimate in sensory destinations. The island’s fragrant spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, clover, ginger and cocoa, perfume the air, while verdant rolling hills, mountains, and azure water views offer visitors artisan views at every turn. The melodic songs of exotic tropical birds and rare tropical flowers offer a warm welcome for travelers from far and wide. Grenada is located in the Eastern Caribbean, only 100 miles north of Venezuela, to the north of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and to the south of Trinidad and Tobago.

Activities abound on the island of Grenada as adventurers hike into the deep forest and come into clear, revealing, vigorous waterfalls or participate in a midnight excursion to witness the ever-elusive and endangered Leatherback Turtle, as this 400 pound mother-to-be returns home to lay more that
150 eggs. Pristine coral reefs, wrecks, and clear waters are a huge attraction for scuba divers and snorkelers alike as are boating, fishing, kayaking and canoeing. The activities around the island are an endless source
of adventure, and exploration, as Grenada is home to some of the world’s most beautiful and underdeveloped wonderlands.
There are more than 30 dive sites in Grenada! Whether you like to dive wrecks, reefs, or be a little adventurous and do a shark dive, Grenada has what you want! Lying beneath Grenada’s surface is some of the Caribbean’s most dramatic and unspoiled underwater scenery. From lazy drift dives over coral gardens to the “Bianca C “, one of the largest ship wrecks in the Caribbean, Grenada waters offer captivating images to divers of all levels. Since Grenada is not yet as heavily frequented by visitors as other Caribbean destinations, the reefs, wrecks and walls remain unspoiled by crowds and many have yet to be explored. Divers will discover nearly every kind of coral imaginable, along with an abundance of marine fish life, pelagic and coastal as well as turtles, rays, and sharks.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

The scientific session will be conducted by Ann Barker- Griffith, MD of SUNY/Upstate Medical University and will feature as our keynote speaker Joel Silverstein.
