42st Annual Spring Meeting Riding Rock Resort & Marina and Guanahani Divers May 20-27, 2017 • 45 Divers • 26 Hours Category 1 CME

The 2017 Annual Spring Conference will find us at Riding Rock Inn in San Salvador, Bahamas. Located on the small island of San Salvador in the Bahamas, the most Eastern Island in the Bahamas chain sits one of the premier scuba diving resorts and fishing Meccas’s of the world. Perched on a pinnacle and washed by warm breezes and clear azure waters, the Riding Rock Inn Resort and Marina offer you all the excitement and adventure or rest and relaxation you have been searching for. Remote and wild, San Salvador is a true underwater adventure. Being one of the southeastern most islands in the Bahamas chain, San Salvador is just twelve miles long by five miles wide and home to approximately 950 residents. Life on San Salvador is pretty much as unhurried as it has been through the ages. It is still quiet, friendly, and unspoiled with miles of deserted beaches and lush underwater life that was discovered by scuba divers in the 1970’s. With over 50 dive sites and average visibility at 100 feet plus, today, San Salvador is known world wide for the quality and diversity of its diving. San Salvador is one of the top five wall – diving destinations in the region. Shark lovers will be pleased to hear that San Salvador is home to many shark species, the Scalloped Hammerheads being a favorite with our divers. Riding Rock Inn Resort and Marina is custom designed for dive travelers, with all the facilities close at hand. Its 42 rooms host dive groups, clubs and individuals from around the world every year. Lie out on the beach and enjoy that fantastic Bahamian sunshine or snorkel the shallow beachfront at your leisure. The swimming pool is also a favorite relaxation spot, as is the hotel’s bar and restaurant. The full service marina features the resort’s expanded dive shop and equipment rental facilities, as well as guest gear storage and a conference room. To service the special needs of divers, the Riding Rock Inn Resort and Marina also features an impressive trio of custom dive boats, complete with deep V-hulls, walk-thru transoms, and dive platforms with extended ladders, camera rinse and protection from the sun. The crystal clear turquoise blue waters and the pearly white sandy beaches make San Salvador the perfect travel destination for the ISAM summer conference. Sun, sand, and sea are merely perimeters of the Islands of the Bahamas. At the core of the islands, you’ll find a big heart, open arms, and a way of life that is both timeless and new. It is the Bahamian heritage. It is your departure from everyday life. Welcome!
